Change a photo's width and height in pixels. Drop it here, pick a size or type one, and the resized copy is made in your browser.

Websites, shops and forms often ask for a set width or height, and a camera photo is usually much larger. The ready-made sizes cover the common cases: 1920 pixels for sharing in full HD, 1080 for social posts, 2048 for a sharp but smaller file, or half the original. The proportions are kept, and a photo that is already smaller is left alone rather than enlarged.
For an exact box, type both numbers. Width and height are then used as given, so a photo with a different shape is stretched; to avoid that, crop it to the shape first, then resize. Sizes are rounded to even numbers of pixels.
Making a photo smaller keeps it sharp. Making it larger than the original adds pixels the camera never captured, so it can look soft; the assistant warns you when a size would enlarge it.
Use a preset, which keeps the proportions, or crop the photo to the shape you need before typing an exact size.
That is compression: use the image compressor and name the size, such as 100 KB.
No. It is resized in your browser and stays on your device.
