Split your videos into multiple parts with ease! Choose by number of segments, duration, or custom points.
Say how, e.g. “into 3 parts” or “every 30 seconds”.
1
Drag and drop the video you want to split onto the box above, or click Choose Files. Our online video splitter works with MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM and other common formats, and the AI assistant also splits AVI and FLV.
2
Tell the AI assistant how to split your video: into a number of equal parts (“into 3 parts”), at fixed intervals (“every 30 seconds”), or at the times you name (“at 1:00 and 2:30”). It makes up to 50 parts.

Your split videos are processed locally on your device. When they are ready, click Save on each part. Prefer a timeline? The classic splitter is one click away on this page.
Need to divide a video into multiple parts or create separate clips from a long recording? Our video splitter online provides a professional-grade experience directly in your web browser. No complex software installation is required to split video online.
Whether you are a content creator looking for a video splitter free of watermarks or a professional who needs to quickly divide video into segments, our tool delivers. It's the perfect video divider for creating social media clips, splitting interviews, or organizing footage.
Ask the assistant to split it “into 4 parts” (up to 50). It divides your video into equal segments. In the classic splitter, use the 'By Parts' mode.
Yes. Name the times, for example “split at 0:45, 2:10 and 3:30”: the assistant takes up to 49 split points (50 parts). The classic splitter's 'Custom' mode lets you click them on a timeline.
You can split MP4, MOV, MKV and WebM videos, and other common formats your browser can play. The AI assistant also splits AVI and FLV files, which browsers cannot play.
Each part may be re-encoded rather than copied bit for bit: the first part can be copied as it is when the output format holds the video's codecs (an AVI's video is always re-encoded), and later parts are re-encoded. A re-encode with your browser's own video encoder is hard to see on everyday clips. Where your browser cannot encode the video itself, FFmpeg encodes the parts in software (H.264, or VP8 for WebM) at a standard quality setting in 8-bit color, which can lose some detail on very high-bitrate or 10-bit HDR footage.
Ask the assistant to split it “every 30 seconds”: it makes up to 50 parts, which covers up to 25 minutes of video at that length. For a longer video, use the classic splitter's 'By Duration' mode.
Since processing happens on your own computer, the length is mostly limited by your device's memory and performance. We've successfully split videos over an hour long!
Yes. The classic splitter shows a preview list of all segments with their time ranges before you export, and every part the assistant makes opens in a player so you can check it.
Yes. The splitter on this page is free and unlimited: split and export as many videos as you need, with no watermark. The AI assistant at the top of the page runs on a free daily allowance of assistant credits.
