Make a 3.5 × 4.5 cm photo for a Korean passport, a Korea visa or a residence card, sized to each office's head rule and made in your browser.
From the government pages linked below, checked on October 14, 2026. Rules change, so check the official page before you apply.
The rules don’t accept a replaced background: switch off Plain background on the card to keep your own.

Mouth closed, no smile, eyebrows and face outline uncovered, no coloured lenses, and avoid white clothes.
2
The card opens on the Korean passport size. Switch off Plain background: the passport office refuses photos with a removed or replaced background.

Tap Save photo. For an online renewal it's saved at 413 × 531 pixels and kept under 500 KB.
A Korean passport photo is 3.5 × 4.5 cm on a uniform white background, with the head 3.2 to 3.6 cm from the top of the skull, not counting hair, to the chin. For an online renewal the file must be a JPG of up to 500 KB, about 413 × 531 pixels. The passport office's own tool resizes and moves photos, but a photo whose background was removed, or a person placed on a white background, can't be submitted.
A Korea visa uses the same 3.5 × 4.5 cm size on a plain white or off-white background, with the face 2.5 to 3.5 cm long. A residence card for foreign residents uses 2.5 to 3.5 cm as well, and the immigration service says the photo must not be edited with Photoshop or similar software.
The card frames the photo in your browser. We can't promise acceptance.
